In July 2015, I traveled to India as part of an International Summer Design studio with Delhi and the Yamuna River as its site. Our site, the Pragati Maidan, located between the end of the British plan of the city and the river, currently hosts many national expositions. However, the space that sits across from Indian Supreme Court is under programmed and relatively disconnected from the surrounding urban framework. Additionally, the quality of relation between Delhi and the heavily polluted Yamuna River calls for an exceptionally special observation of this space and possible re-connection of Delhi to the river.
