The People’s Embassy is a statement about the people of D.C.’s need for a space that communicates a sense of representing their own identity. The embassy provides facilities for meetings, collaboration, making, and expositions. The project asserts that the tension pulling on the city is what acts as its binding force. Thus, like the other embassies that scatter themselves across D.C.’s landscape, the project also incorporates a fall-out facility.
